The Eastern Partnership summit in Riga is not a meeting of EU accession and is not directed against Russia, the President of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker, said.
"This meeting is not about the EU accession of the six Eastern partners, we are not ready, they are not ready. It's not the subject of today's meeting. But there is a European perspective for each democracy in Europe," RIA Novosti cited him as saying.
He also stressed that it is "not an anti-Russian meeting". Speaking about the issue of financial assistance to Greece, Juncker said that it was not included on the agenda of the summit.
