The head of the Russian presidential administration, Sergei Ivanov, said the Western media is using slander and trying to make Russians disappointed with the Russian authorities.
He noted that some western media articles have claimed that President Vladimir Putin and his entourage are supposedly corrupt and are hiding their fortunes. "I am convinced that all the slanderous statements against us are pursuing only one goal: to convince Russians that Russia's authorities are wrong. However, I am quite sure that this plan won’t work,’’ Ivanov said.
According to him, the main target of criticism is the head of state, but the groundless accusations from the West are aimed at the President's supporters as well.
