US Secretary of State John Kerry said the country will help Georgia to move towards membership in NATO. "The United States is firmly committed to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia within its internationally recognized borders. We firmly support Georgia's Euro-Atlantic aspirations," he said.
"We intend to assist Georgia to implement the Association Agreement with the European Union and on the path to NATO membership," RIA Novosti quotes the US Secretary of State as saying.

Kerry spoke to the Georgian people on the Independence Day of Georgia on 26 May. According to him, the US "appreciates" partnership with Georgia and wishes the country "peace, unity and prosperity."
