The BRICS countries have issued a joint communique in which they called for the territorial integrity of Syria and confirmed the need for a peaceful resolution of the conflict by the Syrians themselves.
Yesterday in Moscow a consultative meeting of the head assistants of the Foreign Affairs Ministries of the countries of BRICS on Middle East issues was held, a result of which was a joint communique.
Participants in the meeting expressed their concern over the political crises in Syria, Libya and Yemen, and called for the settlement of conflicts by peaceful means, without using force or outside interference, through national dialogue and respect for the territorial integrity of states, RIA Novosti reported.
