Europeans showed their attitude towards Russia in voting for Gagarina, Kosachev says

According to a post today on Facebook written by Konstantin Kosachev, head of the Committee for International Affairs of the Federation Council, the second place of Russian singer Polina Gagarina in Eurovision-2015 defines the attitude of ordinary Europeans to Russia.

"The success of Polina Gagarina is the most convincing answer to all the questions about the "isolation’’ of Russia, about the attitude towards our country in Europe in general and some individual countries in particular. They expressed their attitude not only towards the singer, but also towards the country which Polina Gagarina represented,’’ Kosachev added.

High points were awarded to Russia by Germany, Belgium, Spain, France, Italy, Portugal and Estonia. The maximum marks were awarded by Azerbaijan, Armenia and Belarus.
