The governors of the US states of Hawaii, New Mexico, Utah, Washington, Oregon and Arizona, as well as of the Californian cities of Irvine, San Diego, San Jose, Santa Monica, Southgate, Stockton and Torrance have issued proclamations declaring May 28, 2015 as Azerbaijani Republic Day, Azerbaijan’s Consulate General in Los Angeles said.
