The Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the North Caucasian Federal District, Sergey Melikov, has been on a working visit to the Republic of Karachay-Cherkessia.
Accompanied by the head of Karachaevo-Cherkessia, Rashid Temrezov, the envoy visited the social facilities of the district center of Ust-Dzheguta, including the ‘Star’ kindergarten and a football pitch with artificial turf.
Addressing the participants of the event, the representative of the President pointed out that the celebrations to mark the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War did not have to end with the celebration on May 9. In accordance with the decisions of the entire leadership of the country, this year is an anniversary.
The results of the visit were summed up at a bilateral meeting between the envoy of the President of the Russian Federation and the head of the region.
"Today the Republic is developing dynamically and it is one of the most tranquil regions in the North Caucasus," the envoy summed up.
