UN special envoy to Syria to hold talks with opposition in Istanbul in early June

According to Jesse Shaheen, a spokeswoman for the UN special envoy to Syria, Staffan de Mistura, said meetings of the envoy with the National Coalition of the Syrian Opposition and Revolutionary Forces are to take place in early June in Istanbul.

"I can only say that at the beginning of June he will arrive in Turkey at the invitation of the National Coalition for the Syrian Opposition and Revolutionary Forces. He will visit Istanbul,’’ RIA Novosti cites the spokeswoman.
