After being on the wanted list, former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili has received Ukrainian citizenship.
According to Thea Tsulukiani, Minister of Justice of Georgia, this means that all legal chances of extraditing him have been exhausted.
"From the point of view of the prosecution, we have to understand that the Ukrainian constitution prohibits the extradition of its citizens to another country. As he received Ukrainian citizenship, the legal chances of extraditing him from Ukraine have been exhausted,’’ Interfax cites Tsulukiani.
