About 75 gunmen have been killed in Chechnya since the beginning of this year, announced the head of the Chechen interior ministry, Muslim Isayev, RIA Novosti reports.
According to him, during this time 53 weapons stores were found and destroyed and 230 guns, about 19,000 different weapons and over 40 home-made explosive devices were confisctaed.
Isayev also said, that this year half the number of murders were reported.
