Zarif: we need regional cooperation to fight terrorism

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has called for concerted efforts by all regional countries to uproot terrorism.

"Extremism has posed threats to all the regional countries and countering this phenomenon requires regional and trans-regional cooperation," the Tasnim news agency cites him as saying.

Zarif will visit Russia to attend a high-level conference named 'Security and Stability in the SCO Region'. He also plans to hold bilateral and trilateral talks with his counterparts from the SCO member states, including China, Russia and Tajikistan, TASS reports.
