An agreement on Nagorno-Karabakh is unlikely to be signed at he OSCE summit in Astana, Azerbaijani Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov said at the opening of a symposium for international relations "South Caucasus in the changing world“, Trend reports.
Co-chairs of the Minsk Group will visit the region in the near future and present the report of the OSCE evaluation mission. Unlike the previous mission in 2005, this year the mission visited all the seven occupied regions.
Azerbaijani initiated an OSCE evaluation mission in early October to study the state of affairs in the occupied Azerbaijani territories. The co-chairs are preparing the report.
The symposium is held annually in Baku on October 22-23. Its aim is improvement of regional ties and cooperation, strengthening of contacts between professors interested in regional policy, economy and international relations.
Over 150 foreign and local experts take part in the symposium. They discuss global problems in regional context, regional security and conflicts, economic tendencies, development of information technologies and energy in the South Caucasus.
After the two-day discussions the materials will be published as a book.
