Russia will adopt harsher maritime laws, especially in resort areas, according to Russian Minister of Environment Sergey Donskoy's statement after an inspection in Novorossiysk within the framework of the Russian president's order to develop infrastructure in the Azov-Black Sea Region, TASS reports.
70 out of 115 bunker barge companies have been inspected. About 100 violations have been registered. Rosprirodnadzor Acting Head Amirkhan Amirkhanov said that the main violations were related to waste disposal, exploitation of ships and lack of documents on clearing oil spills.
