Rostov-on-Don has welcomed the official mission from Iran“s West Azerbaijan province.
Iran plans to develop business in south Russia, 161.ru reports. The Iranian trade attaché for the organization of trade development with Russia, Modzhtab Mosaviyan, said that Iranian businessmen are already actively operating in Dagestan, Tatarstan,Chuvashia, and Astrakhan. The trade turnover with Russia is approximately $4.5 billion. Over 60% of exports to Russia are food products and fruit.
Iran believes that Rostov Region is of great interest to Iranian exporters. 70% of fruit and dry fruit on the market of Rostov-on-Don come from Iran.
At the meeting Iranian sides said that they plan to invest into projects on the Don territory and are ready to consider requests from Don businessmen.
