Governor of the Odessa Oblast Mikheil Saakashvili has confirmed that Giya Lordkipanidze, deputy chief of police of Georgia, was the new police chief of the Odessa Oblast, TASS reports.
Saakashvili reminded that Lordkipanidze had no criminal records.
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko appointed Saakashvili as the Odessa governor on May 30. Saakashvili had earlier been naturalized in Ukraine.
