Chechen President accuses Georgia of helping militants

The head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, has recently stated that Georgia remained "almost the only" external force helping militants in Chechnya.

"There are few remaining sources of serious support - moral and financial - to the militants. Previously they had been receiving financial assistance and weapons via Georgian territory; whole groups of gangs were sent to Chechnya through Georgia. Even today it can be said that almost the only source from where the militants are assisted, where the militants are trained, is Georgia," Kadyrov was quoted as saying by RIA Novosti.
