Armenian parliament has first session in repaired hall

The Armenian parliament has had its first meeting in the repaired
session hall, News Armenia reports.

The repair work, worth $1.3 million, started in early May, and the
National Assembly had to be moved to the big session hall of the
government.

Speaker of the National Assembly Ovik Abramyan warned the deputies
about possible malfunctioning of the electronic system.

All the 131 deputies have personal computers and places for guests.
The journalists will have a lodge above the session hall with only a
pair of speakers. They also have a separate room with a monitor.

The journalists expressed discontent with the new conditions to the
head of the parliament's office Gegam Garibjanyan. He said that there
will be extra speakers and the room will have computers in the future.

Garibjanyan also said that they installed a monitor at the lobby next
to the session hall, allowing the journalists to observe the processes
and receive comments from deputies.
