Unsatisfied with elections results, Dagestani residents riot in local administration

500 people unsatisfied with the results of the elections of October 10
have rioted in the building of the local administration of the
Tlyaratin district of Dagestan, RIA Novosti reports, referring to a
spokesman for the local Interior Affairs Department.

According to him, representatives of the law-enforcement agencies are
trying to resolve the conflict at the moment.

Over a thousand municipal elections took place in Dagestan on October
10. Since the beginning of the election campaign the republic’s
prosecutor's office has received 40 complaints about violations of the
electoral law.
