The head of European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso supports Kazakhstan’s joining WTO, a message on Ak Ordy site says, Trend reports, citing KazTAG.
Barroso made the statement at a meeting with Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev. They also talked on the state and prospects of cooperation between Kazakhstan and EU and topical issues of global and regional policy.
Nazarbayev thanked EU for supporting the summit in Astana.
The meeting was concluded with signing of a memorandum on mutual understanding and cooperation between Kazakh statistics agency and European Commission and a cooperation protocol between Kazakh Ministry of Education and Science and European Education Fund.
