Adygei's deputies to rename region's head position

The deputies of the State Council of Adygei have supported the federal bill proposing not to call the head of the region the president, RIA Novosti reports.
A group of deputies and senators has proposed a bill to the State Duma - Russian parliament - stating that heads of republics cannot be called "presidents". This bill should be approved , thinks the chairman of the Adygei Council Anatoly Ivanov. "There is only one president in the country, the regions are led by governors, not presidents", he said.
