A life quality rating has been published by the Institute of Regional Information. In 2009 the Republic of North Ossetia came in 11th place in Russia, VK reports.
Moscow holds top place, St Petersbug - 2nd and the Moscow region came third. North Ossetia leads in the North Caucasus Federal District: Stavropol Territory came 15th, Kabardino-Balkaria is in 27th. Karachay-Cherkessia holds 41st position, Dagestan - 53rd, Ingushetia - 76th. Due to a lack of data the Republic of Chechnya was not included in the rating.
