 Azerbaijan and Armenia may agree on principles of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict resolution

A trilateral meeting between the presidents of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia - Ilham Aliyev, Dmitry Medvedev and Serzh Sargsyan has ended in Astrakhan, RIA Novosti reports.
The two sides of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict - Armenia and Azerbaijan - have signed a declaration, announcing the return of prisoners of war, Russian president Dmitry Medvedev said after thenegotiations.

As a result of the meeting the presidents made a joint statement, saying that resolution of the conflict requires a ceasefire and confidence measures.

President Medvedev also stated that the two sides might reach agreement on the principles of the resolution before the OSCE summit in Astana at the beginning of December.

"Russia will continue supporting such efforts and I think a result will be achieved", Medvedev said.
