Kadyrov acknowledges contribution of "United Russia" to revival of Chechnya

The Party of “United Russia” will retain its leading position in the
political system, believes the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov,
Interfax reports.

"We all remember the 90's, when Russia was torn by inter-party and, in
fact, inter-clan fighting. This has led to a weakening of the economic
and military power of the country, the decline of its authority and
prestige in the eyes of the world community. To such an extent that at
some point we weren't even considered a second or third-rate country .
I would go on to say that this fact clearly reflected on the situation
in Chechnya in the nineties,"- the head of Chechnya noted.
