Israeli Tourism Minister urges his compatriots to boycott Turkey

The Israeli Tourism Minister is urging Israelis to stop travelling to Turkey, the Washington Post reports.

Stas Mesezhnikov called for the travel boycott after the Israeli press reported that Turkey has classified Israel as "a strategic threat."

Mesezhnikov said on Sunday that ties with Turkey are important to Israel. But he added that it must be "boycotted totally as a tourism destination" for Israeli national honour.
