Members of Adygeya’s President’s Council considered anti-corruption measures today.
“Today President Dmitry Medvedev signed a presidential edict “National strategy against corrupetion and National plan against corruption 2010-2011”. Due to the edict, it is necessary to co-ordinate the work of all republic’s structures, and unite efforts to fight corruption more effectively. At the same time we must use all opportunities against criminals, enhance monitoring over budget funds”, - republic’s head Aslan Tkhakushinov said, Yuga.ru reports.
Representatives from Adygeya’s law-enforcing organs said that the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Adygeya received 346 complaints about corruption crimes, 217 – were sent to Russia’s Investigation Committee of Adygeya Republic and 15 to the Federal Security Service Directorate of Adygeya Republic. Corruption totals 199 criminal cases, 17 of them are bribe cases. The number of corruption cases solved, compared to 2008, rose by 66%.
“Adygeya has a legal base for anti-corruption documents. According to the presidents edict the republic permanently has anti-corruption expertises of legislative acts. Last year there were 314 legislative acts analyzed, 23 documents had corruption features, all infractions of law were dealt with”, - the meeting noted.
Moreover, the republic has access to information on activities of government authorities, monitoring of state services is carried out, a portal for state and municipal services is under development, the president’s administration has a “trust line” working, which received 1801 appeals from citizens.
The work of Control and Counting Chamber of the region resulted in 62.6 million roubles returned to the budget after inspections. In general Adygeya has preventive measures against corruption which are being realized.
