Azerbaijan to monitor 80 districts at parliamentary elections

The electoral monitoring coalition "Parliament-2010" will monitor 80
districts at the Azerbaijani parliamentary elections on November 7,
the head of an analytical group, Ibragim Aliyev, said in Sumgayit,
Trend reports.


He clarified that they have approximately 3,400 observers. Aliyev said
that they are all independent and are not members of parties. They
will be provided with information about the role, place and form of
the elections. Aliyev added that the monitoring coalition will provide
independent and impartial results.


Azerbaijan will hold parliamentary elections on November 7, 2010.
Campaigning started on September 7. The previous elections were held
in November 2005. They are held using a majority system with 125
electoral districts.
