Plenipotentiary Presidential Envoy to the North Caucasian Federal District, Alexander Khloponin met with the fifteen candidates to the Public Council of the North Caucasian Federal District, Yuga reports.
The following principle for the formation of the Public Council is provided: 14 people for the federal part, 14 people for the part of the country and 14 – for the regional. In total 42 people. The chairman of the Council will be the Plenipotentiary Presidential Envoy to the North Caucasian Federal District.
The Public Council will consist of several working committees. Experts and specialist in particular subjects will be involved in the work of the Commission, the press service of the department of the interior policy of Alexander Khloponin informs.
The Council of Elders will be established as part of the Public Council and will amount to 7 members (one representative from each of the subject areas).
The first meeting of the Public Council of the North Caucasus on the problems of the region is scheduled for the end of November.
