Azerbaijani voting stations to be equipped with modern communications

The voting stations in Baku will be equipped with reliable,
uninterrupted telephone service and internet access, Trend reports,
referring to the industrial association “Baku Telephone
Communications” of the Azerbaijani Ministry for Communications and
Information Technology.

Web-cams have been installed in 500 voting stations in Baku and other
Azerbaijani constituencies to ensure the transparency of the electoral
process.

The voting will be available online, giving voters an opportunity to
interactively monitor the results of the voting.

Elections to the Milli Majlis (Parliament) of the Republic of
Azerbaijan are scheduled for the 7th of November, 2010. The official
start to the campaign was announced on the 3rd of September.

The previous elections were held in November 2005.
