Azerbaijani defense industry grows 320%

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense Industry (MDI) held today a
collegial meeting on the results of the first nine months of 2010, APA
reports, referring to the press service of the MDI.

The MDI board has discussed the results of the industrial, financial
and business associations and enterprises and the challenges they will
face in the future.

It was noted that the activities planned by the Program of the state
defense order for 2010 were continuous during the reporting period;
contracts for 82 million manat have been signed with the security
forces of the republic. The production of defense products has grown
320% compared with the same period last year.
