Dagestan establishes commission to adapt former terrorists to peaceful life

Dagestani President Magomedsalam Magomedov has established a
commission to help people that quit terrorist and extremist activities
get back to civilian life, RIA Novosti reports, citing the president's
press-service.


Deputy Chairman of Dagestani government Rizvan Kurbanov was appointed
the head of the commission. It will consist of 14 people, including
heads of the republic's Ministry of the Interior, the local Federal
Security Service, Investigation Committee of the Prosecution,
Dagestani ombudsman, imam of the central mosque in Makhachkala,
chairman, chairs of the social and lawyer chambers.


Russian special services have killed over 300 and arrested
approximately 500 militants, carried out over 50 counter-terrorist
operations and over 4,500 operative and combat actions this year.


The Russian National Counter-Terrorist Committee continues
coordinating the efforts against terrorism and to normalize the
situation in the North Caucasus.
