Ali Hasanov, the head of the socio-political department of the Azerbaijani Presidential Administration, commented upon the U.S. position in the Karabakh problem. According to him, the Azerbaijani side is dissatisfied with the U.S. position as a co-chairing country of the OSCE Minsk Group. "The United States often take a unilateral stand favorable Armenia. We urge the U.S. to adhere to a neutral stand," reports 1news.az citing Ali Hasanov.
"We avow that we are dissatisfied with the activities of the United States in network of the OSCE. Azerbaijan has repeatedly brought up the issue of violations its rights in Nagorno-Karabakh and the violation of its territorial integrity. However, unfortunately, some U.S. circles and institutions are influenced by the Armenian lobby in this question and sometimes they lose their neutrality and support Armenia openly," Hasanov said.
He also said, that recently the actions of the USA are aimed at bailing Armenia out of the grave socio-economic situation. "Meanwhile, nobody pays attention to the occupation policy pursued by Armenia in the region and nobody tries to persuade Armenia to abandon this policy," Hasanov said.
According to Ali Hasanov, such a course falls short of the U.S. mission, especially in the capacity of a co-chairing country of OSCE Minsk Group.
