Azerbaijani CEC publishes report on elections

The Central Electoral Committee of Azerbaijan has prepared a report on the parliamentary elections to be held on the 7th of November. The document states that the divisional and district electoral commissions are fully-equipped and ready for the elections.

Only 1,115 people managed to collect the necessary number of votes and bring all the documents on time. However, only 688 candidates are participating in the elections, 94 of whom are women.

5,000 billboards have been set up to display information and 3,440 towns have provided 4,930 meeting places for electors.

At the moment 46,569 local observers are registered to monitor the elections. 1026 international observers are registered for the election, representing 19 international institutions, including PACE, the European Parliament, the EU Council, the OSCE and others.

Cameras have been installed at 500 polling stations to monitor the elections online.
