Voting in the parliamentary elections ended in Azerbaijan at 7:00 p.m. local time, Trend reports.
According to the information of the Azerbaijani Central Electoral Commission (CEC), voter turnout came to around 44.75 percent (2, 213,398 voters).
The Azerbaijani CEC reported that 690 candidates were running in the parliamentary elections.
The parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan were held by majority system in 125 constituencies. The previous parliamentary elections were held in November 2005.
