The Azerbaijani parliamentary elections were held without serious
violations, a spokesman for the monitoring coalition 'Parliament-2010;
Aydyn Kerimov said at a press-conference at the Trend news agency.
A member of the coalition, Ahmed Gashimoglu, presented information
about the electronic voting. Such a voting system was used in
Azerbaijan for the first time and was aimed at finding out social
attitudes.
Gashimoglu said that 25,442 people used the electronic voting system.
The monitoring coalition made proposals after the elections. One of
them was the increase of the free broadcasting time limit for
candidates. Another proposal is to give candidates discounts for their
advertisements on television.
