Results of Azerbaijani parliamentary polls meet forecasts - Vestnik Kavkaza monitors

The results of parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan meet the forecasts made by experts. The victory of the Yeni Azerbaijan party was predetermined by the successful development of the country in recent years, the resolving of the main social-economic problems, as well as the policies of President Ilham Aliyev, the members of the Vestnik Kavkaza monitoring mission - Russian analysts Ismail Agakishiyev and Alexey Vlasov - said.


Most of the observers of the election process said that it meets the
democratic standards.


The first lady of Azerbaijan, Mekhriban Aliyeva, also achieved success at the elections, receiving the most votes. The staff of Vestnik Kavkaza congratulates its colleague, Azerbaijani expert Rasim Musabekov, who achieved victory in his electoral district, Editor-in-Chief of Vestnik Kavkaza Alexey Vlasov said.

The Director General of VK Ismail Agakishiyev said that all the
necessary conditions for the elections were provided at the polling
stations. The country is on the way to real progress - Azerbaijan's
share in the Caucasus economy is 75%, and it has seen great
achievements and stability, Agakishiyev said.


Azerbaijan needs to maintain stability to have one of the highest
levels of economic development in 10-15 years, he went on.


The Azerbaijani Central Electoral Commission announced preliminary
election results on its official website. The results of three
candidates were announced invalid: In Hussar district N51,
Yardymly-Masallin district N72 and Lerik district N78).
