Azerbaijani minister of foreign affairs meets head of OSCE mission

Azerbaijani Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov welcomed the
director of the OSCE office for human rights and democratic
institutions, Janez Lenarcic, Trend reports.


The sides discussed the parliamentary elections. The Parliamentary
Assembly of PACE, PA of the European Parliament, and the OSCE Office
for human rights and democratic institutions had a different opinion
on the issue. Mammadyarov pointed out to Lenarcic that one declaration
had both an opinion that the elections were praised in 90% of
electoral district and a contradictory opinion that there were serious
violations.


The sides exchanged views on the coming OSCE summit in Astana.
Azerbaijani held parliamentary elections on November 7. 50.14%, or
2,480,205 voters, took part in the elections. There were 690
candidates.
