The new Azerbaijani parliament, elected on November 7, will have its
first session in early December, 1news.az reports, citing the head of
the parliaments’ press service, Akif Nasirov.
He did not exclude the possibility that the first session may be held
in late November. The first session will be organized as soon as the
Constitutional Court considers the protocols of the parliamentary
elections presented by the Central Electoral Commission, and passes
the structure of the fourth calling of the parliament, Nasirov said.
According to Nasirov, the new parliament will be chaired by Jalal
Aliyev. At the first session the deputies will elect the speaker, who
will appoint three deputies as his assistants, vice-speakers.
