The inter-parliamentary commission for cooperation between the Russian
Federal Council (FC) and the National Assembly of Armenia will have a
session on November 11-13 in Yerevan, the Armenian co-chair of the
commission, Aram Safaryan, told RIA Novosti.
The sides plan to discuss cooperation in the high-technology and
innovations spheres.
Safaryan said that the two reports of the Russian side will be read
out by representatives of the spheres, members of Russian state
agencies. Officials of the Armenian Ministry of Education and Science
and deputies of the National Assembly will make speeches as well.
Safaryan added that the sides will discuss Armenian-Russian
cooperation in international structures.
The Russian delegation will be headed by the chairman of the
commission of the Federal Council for natural monopolies, Nikolai
Ryzhkov.
The delegation will consist of officials from the commission of the
Federal Council for Maintenance of the FC Vladimir Kulakov, chairman
of the FC committee for economic policy, business and property Oganes
Oganyan, deputy chairman of the committee for defense and security
Mikhail Sorokin, deputy chairman of the FC committee for Federal
Affairs and regional policy Alexander Ter-Avanesov and deputy chairman
of the FC committee for local autonomy affairs Nikolai Tonkov.
