A group of militants, which attacked police officers on Thursday, has
been eliminated in Makhachkala, the Dagestani Ministry of the Interior
reports.
The police caught up with the militants’ car on the corner of Kazbekov
and Orzhonikidze Streets. The shoot-out resulted in the militants'
vehicle catching fire and exploding, RIA Novosti reports.
At least two militants were killed. The police do not rule out the
chance that there were more militants. The militants killed three
police officers on Thursday. Two other police officers are in
hospital, one of them with grave injuries.
