Azerbaijan and Jordan plan to develop trade and economic cooperation.
The negotiations will be held on December 23-24 in Baku within the
second session of the inter-governmental commission for economic
cooperation, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Jordan Elman Arasly told Trend.
Azerbaijan and Jordan have signed over 30 inter-governmental and
inter-departmental agreements since 2006.
The first session of the inter-governmental commission was held in
February 2009 in Amman.
Over 10 Jordanian companies are operating in the Azerbaijani market.
An Azerbaijani company has recently started active cooperation with
Jordanian partners in importing agricultural products. The diplomatic
source said that trade turnover last year reached 40%.
The Azerbaijani Statistics Committee said that trade turnover between
Azerbaijan and Jordan in January-August reached $1.5 million.
