Suspected murderer of 12 in Krasnodar Territory detained

A suspected organizer of the murder of 12 people in early November in
the Krasnodar Territory has been arrested, RIA Novosti reports on
Monday, citing a spokesman of the Russian Investigation Committee,
Vladimir Markin.


The murder took place in the Kushevskaya Cossack village on November
5. The police found 12 dead in a private house - 4 of them were
children. The assailants attempted to burn down the house. The main
department of the Investigation Committee for the South Federal
District and the North Caucasian Federal District is investigating the
case.


Leader of an organized criminal group Sergey Tsapok and a member of
the group Sergey Tsepovyaz are suspected of the murders.


Some media called Tsapok the director of the private security agency
in Kushevskaya called "Centurion". The secretary of the organization
told RIA Novosti that Ignatov Mikhail Nicolayevich is the head of the
company.


Markin noted that many locals have assisted by providing information
to the police.


Last Thursday the police arrested four suspects. They resisted arrest.
The police found narcotics on them. The suspects are all part of an
organized crime group fro Rostov.


Markin said earlier that police had determined the motive, but cannot
announce it in the interests of the investigation.


One of the most probable reasons is arefusal to pay off the local
criminal group.
