Fire brigades in Abkhazia battle forest fires

Fire-fighters in Abkhazia are battling wildfires in a forest area in
the Sukhumi region  of Abkhazia, YuGA.ru reports. They prevented the spread of fire towards the village of Verkhnyaya Eshera and to remove the threat to the houses.  However, the fire spread to the hard-to-reach slope, and the fire-fighters are unable to extinguish it, IA "Apsnypress" reports.
Moreover, yesterday, on November, 14 several fires were registered in Gagra area on Mount Mamzyshha and in the village Kaman in Sukhumi region where fire-fighting is impossible because the fire is in the remote and difficult to access mountain range. Fires are monitored round-the-clock in order to prevent their spreading to the areas
below.
