The Azerbaijani Central Electoral Commission (CEC) is reviewing the complaints received in connection with the parliamentary elections held on the 7th of November, Trend reports.
Five appeals were returned to the applicants, due to the vagueness of the requirements, three more because of the expiration of the legal time limit for complaints, one request was sent for trial to the relevant district electoral commission. The examination period for the remaining complaints has been prolonged.
According to the CEC, voter turnout was 50.14 percent (2,480,205 voters). 690 candidates competed in the parliamentary elections. The previous elections were held in November 2005.
