Russian President Dmitry Medvedev on Thursday congratulated his Abkhazian counterpart, Sergei Bagapsh, on the occasion of his 61st birthday.
The Kremlin press service reported that in a telephone conversation Medvedev “warmly congratulated Bagapsh on his birthday.”
“Both sides expressed satisfaction with the close and trust-based nature of their ties, and the progressive development of friendly intergovernmental relations, an important landmark of which are the results of the recent official visit of Sergei Bagapsh to Russia,” the Kremlin press service said, according to Itar-Tass.
