Russian business is interested in projects in Lebanon

Russian companies are interested in participating in energy and infrastructure projects in Lebanon, said Prime Minister Vladimir Putin at a meeting with his Lebanese counterpart Saad Rafik Hariri, RIA Novosti reports.Speaking about trade and economic ties between the two countries,Putin recalled that in 2009 turnover fell by 25%, but rose by one third for the first nine months of 2010 . "There are grounds for believing that we will enter the pre-crisis level in the near future,"he said. Hariri replied that Lebanon welcomes Russian business.Two documents are planned to be signed during the upcoming visit of Hariri to Russia: on cooperation between the law-enforcement agencies - the General Prosecutor of Russia and the Ministry of Justice of Lebanon - and an agreement on cooperation in culture.
