Khloponin meets the future representatives of the Public Council

Yesterday in Yessentuki, The Russian Presidential Envoy in the North Caucasus Federal District Aleksandr Khloponin met the candidate members of the Public Council of the North Caucasus federal district. This time, the participants were put forward by the regions of the District.
As it was said to VK in the Internal policy department of the administration of the Presidential Envoy, the emerging structure will be responsible for a considerable number of or problems. Thus, according to Khloponin, the Public Council should become an important channel of communication between the citizens and local government. In addition, the Council members are expected to actively participate in the anti-corruption initiatives. "It is impossible to fight corruption only with the help of the state mechanisms because this will be the struggle of a system with itself”, said the Presedential Envoy.
In general,  Khloponin thinks that  the Council can be an effective step towards the creation a full infrastructure of the  civil society on the North Caucasus.
Invited social activists, in their turn, have voiced a number of considerations regarding the improvements of the socio-political situation in the  district.
