Iran tested long-range missiles during the "Vilayat-3" military drills, Trend reports, citing the news agency MEHR. The exercises, which started the night of November, 15, include the training of allthe branches of the Iranian army - sea, air and land forces.
During the manoeuvres short-, medium-and long-range missiles were successfully tested.Iran has produced missiles that can hit targets at a distance of 3000 km, meaning Israel and Eastern Europe are within its range. Iran insists that the purpose of these missiles is to ensure the security of the country and the region.
Meanwhile NATO is discussing the installation of a missile defense
system in Turkey.
