Azerbaijan to announce final polling results in late November

The Azerbaijani Central Electoral Commission (CEC) will present the
final results of the parliamentary elections to the Constitutional
Court, Trend reports, citing the CEC secretary Natik Mamedov.


According to the Electoral Code, the Constitutional Court will receive
the polling protocols within 20 days after the elections, on
approximately November 29.


On November 7 Azerbaijan held parliamentary elections. According to
the CEC, 50.14% of the population took part in the voting process,
which is 2,480,205 people. There were 690 candidates. The CEC has
announced preliminary polling results.


The Azerbaijani parliamentary elections are based on a majority
system, with 125 electoral districts. The previous parliamentary
elections were held in November 2005.
