Iranian president speaks for peaceful settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict

IranianPresident Mahmoud Ahmadinejad believes that the
Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict can be settled through
negotiations, justice and mutual respect, he said in an interview with
Lider TV channel.


Ahmadinejad visited Azerbaijan on Wednesday, where he had bilateral
talks with the country’s authorities. He will take part in the Caspian
summit.


The president noted that the conflict is disadvantageous to everyone.


Commenting on the refusal of Armenia to have Iran as a mediator in the
conflict, Ahmadinejad said that his country declared its ability to
help in solving the issue. He said that the interference of foreign
countries in the conflict will lead to complications.
