Armenia thanked Russia for efforts in helping settle the
Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and hopes that the problem will be solved,
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan said at a meeting with Russian
President Dmitry Medvedev today in the Kremlin, RIA Novosti reports.
Sargsyan said that Armenia promotes peace and stability in the
Caucasus and looks for a peaceful and long-term solution to the
conflict.
Medvedev said that he often meets his Armenian counterpart, allowing
the two presidents to compare notes on bilateral issues, regional
policies, talk on the Nagorno-Karabakh situation and find guidelines
for the future.
Sargsyan said that during the visit of Medvedev to Armenia in August
they had reached a set of agreements. The sides agreed to meet in
autumn and conclude the results of realizing the agreements.
